A Week of Fun on a Royal Caribean Cruise
It has become fairly common for people to have trouble getting away for a vacation, but a Royal Caribean cruise is well worth the effort. Many people worry about being away from work, home, family etc. for too long.
Yet, how much can you really do on a brief – say, three or four day – cruise? Just about the time you start to really relax and have fun, and settle in, the cruise is over. So, think about taking a week’s cruise.
A Variety of Ports of Call
When going on a Royal Caribbean cruise for a week, you will see many different places. First, the ship will drop anchor off shore of one of their private islands, maybe Coco Cay. Small tenders take you ashore, and the island has all manner of activities available. Yes, even shopping! They have a cluster of small outdoor shops.
If snorkeling or scuba diving is your thing, they’ve got you covered. Not only is their little bay perfect for fun, they’ve put some “artifacts” in the water for you to check out. The crashed plane is the best, in my humble opinion. And, of course, there’s food. You don’t even have to go back to the ship to enjoy a fine meal.
The next stop on your Royal Caribean cruise could be St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and after that, St. Maarten. Both are delightful places where you can shop, dine, and enjoy the local scenery.
St. Thomas is quite the hilly island, and the view from the mountain top is truly awe-inspiring and spectacular. Bring your camera; you’re going to want plenty of pictures. In St. Maarten, a beautiful waterfront district is only a short walk (or cab drive) from the dock.
You can shop, sample local food, or just stroll the picturesque streets. One thing the island is known for is its art. You could deck out your whole house in the fine works to be had at very reasonable prices there.
Relaxation on the High Seas
The final leg of your Royal Caribean cruise will be two days at sea as you journey back to Port Canaveral from St. Maarten. Two days to relax and sleep, eat and see shows. You can soak in the hot tub, swim in the pool, and eat fine food for every meal. If you aren’t completely relaxed at the end of this Royal Caribean cruise, nothing will put you at ease.
