Traditionally, Mississippi River cruises represented the ultimate in Southern luxury. The American Queen

The American Queen is the largest ship in the Majestic America fleet and it emanates its flagship status. With 222 suites and staterooms, each beautifully decorated with old world charm, six decks, full fitness center and one of the finest dining rooms on the river, the American Queen is a piece of modern history.

Every stateroom includes a luxury duvet, bathrobes, vanity station, wood furniture, towels, hair dryer, luxury bath amenities, television and sound system, telephone and individual controls for heating and air conditioning.

The Delta Queen

Originally built in 1926, the Delta Queen has been designated as a National Historic Landmark. For truly traditional Mississippi River cruises, the Delta Queen is your only choice. Dance on the same floor as President Hoover, President Truman and President Carter. Hear the same bell that Mark Twain first rang in 1883.

The ship accommodates just 176 guests, all in 88 staterooms that are outside and offer a water view. Overall, the ship is historic, beautifully appointed and offers a true touch of history.

Mississippi Cruises

There are three major Mississippi itineraries offered by the Majestic America fleet. These are the America's Heartland, a trip from Minnesota to the Ohio River; the American Heritage, a cruise from Memphis to New Orleans; and the American Discovery, which includes to Ohio, Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers.

Most of the Mississippi river cruises are a minimum of 7 days and offer optional shore excursions like concert performances, local theater, walking tours and historical stops.
