Disney Cruise Ship:

A Disney Cruise Ship is the Magic Kingdom of the High Seas

Disney Takes to the Sea

These days, cruises have become fun for the whole family; so what could be more fun than spending time on a Disney cruise ship? Given Disney’s commitment to good, wholesome fun, it’s also no surprise that their ships don’t have any gambling.

This was quite a sacrifice on their part; most cruise ships make the lion’s share of their income from gambling. So, for Disney cruise ships to decline such profits says a lot about their devotion to their fans.

The Disney cruise ships also feature something else that is unusual for cruise lines: larger cabins. Now, granted, the economy class ones are fairly snug, but in terms of overall cabin sizes and comparing them to the industry standard, their cabins are much larger!

This doesn’t come without some sacrifice on the part of the customers; Disney cruise ships do cost a bit more than other lines - so you're not likely to find special cruise deals there.

Fun for Everyone, not just the Kids

Of course, Disney is synonymous with wholesome family fun. So, the Disney cruise ships continue this. But that doesn’t mean that only the little kids will enjoy themselves. Sure, the little tots can go off and dig for buried treasure with Captain Hook and Mister Smee once the ship reaches the Disney private island.

But Mom and Dad can slip away for some quality time alone, either at a four-star restaurant on the ship, or at a spa. You may have seen the TV commercial where the little girl says her Mom calls her new baby brother their “little souvenir”!

For the “tweens” and teens, Disney cruise ships have clubs, activities, dancing and fun galore. If you have a family member who had ever thought of trying their hand at drawing, they can do it on a Disney cruise.

Ports of Call

As mentioned above, the Disney cruise ships stop at their own private island. Here every family member can find fun and enjoyment. There are character meetings for the little ones, snorkeling and water activities for the older kids, and soft sands and warm waters for the parents to frolic in.

Fine Dining

You generally don’t think of fancy food when the name Disney is mentioned. After all, the theme parks are the sort of place you have a burger and fries. Well, with the Disney cruise ships, you can dine simply or eat a fabulous meal complete with excellent wine.

Naturally, this is not the sort of thing to take the kids to, and it does cost extra. Yet, for a night away from the little ones, mom and dad might enjoy a little splurge. No matter what your tastes – in food or fun – a Disney cruise ship can cater to your every need.
