In exchange, they can control the on-board environment. That means they can close the casinos or choose not to serve alcohol on board.
They can even change the entertainment – from risqué comics and racy dancers to clean comics and motivational Christian speakers.

Premier has arranged on-board marriages on their Christian cruises before. However, they are subject to the rules of the company they’re chartering from and laws governing marriage. Typically, a marriage must be performed in-port to be considered valid.
For example, a couple could marry in the port of Miami before their departure, but not once they’re out at sea.

Because each of their Christian cruises is somewhat independently operated by the chartering ministries, customers will need to contact them directly to discuss options for port marriages while on board.
Payment for marriage ceremonies and receptions is typically made directly to the chartering cruise line company.
