For example, on a three-night cruise to the Bahamas, parents pay just an extra $229 for their kids under the age of 12. The cruise line also offers supervised kids’ activities day and night for a range of age groups.

Royal Caribbean – Reduced 3rd and 4th Passenger Rates

Royal Caribbean doesn’t offer reduced rates specifically for children, but they do offer their customers reduced rates on 3rd and 4th passengers in each cabin. So, if you’re sharing a cabin with your little ones, you can save as much as 50% off each child’s fare.

Royal Caribbean is also one of the best for cheap cruises vacations thanks to their wide range of free, onboard activities. From climbing walls to ice rinks, Royal Caribbean keeps the kids entertained and the need for expensive shore excursions to a minimum.

Princess Cruises – 50 Percent off the Regular Rate

On Princess Cruises, kids traveling with their parents and sharing a stateroom are offered 50% off the minimum rate. This cruise discount does not apply if your children have their own room. Unfortunately, Princess Cruises does not offer discounted rates for single parents.

Carnival – Daycare for Kids Under Four

If you have really young ones, like between the ages of 2 and 4, you want to look for cheap cruises vacations that offer daycare for your little ones. Most cruise lines won’t actually take kids as young as 2 into their youth programs, but Carnival will and without potty training requirements.

Like most cruise lines, Carnival offers a reduced third and fourth person rate for kids traveling with their parents.

Norwegian Cruise Line – Reduced Rates and Free Childcare

Norwegian cruise lines offers one of the best kids’ activity programs out there, and it’s free. If you’re looking for cheap cruises vacations that will let you go ashore, have evenings out on board the ship or just relax – this could be it.

Norwegian’s Kid Crew programs are well run, highly organized and designed for fun and safety. The freestyle dining is also a popular feature amongst finicky eaters.
