There are 23 Carnival cruise ship vessels, each falling into one of seven classes. For a complete overview of each of the seven Carnival cruise classes and what you can expect on your upcoming cruise, keep reading.

The Holiday Class

There is only one Carnival cruise line ship in the Holiday class, the Carnival Holiday. The newly renovated ship features an on-board 9-hole golf course, casino, multiple dining rooms and nightly entertainment. Overall, the Holiday is a large ship with over 660 crew members, 743 staterooms and a reception room that can hold up to 900 guests.

The Fantasy Class

There are eight Carnival cruise line ship vessels in the Fantasy Class category – all of which are currently undergoing or have undergone major renovations. Most of the ships are large, have on-board golf courses and are designed for family fun.

The Destiny Class

The Carnival Destiny is the only ship in its class, but it's as long as three football fields and offers its passengers three swimming pools, full spa, multiple dining spots, nightclubs and lounges and over 1300 staterooms.

The Triumph Class

The Carnival Triumph and the Carnival Victory both fall into the cruise line's Triumph Class. With multiple lounges, nightclubs and pools, the Triumph is designed for short trips. With four pools and over 1300 staterooms, the Carnival Victory is definitely the larger of the two. Both ships are designed for adult travelers.

The Conquest Class

Carnival's Conquest class of cruise ships are typically designed for family fun, though every ship is different. Most of the boats in the class include multiple restaurants, over 1000 staterooms, multiple pools, casinos and more.

The Spirit Class

The Carnival Spirit Class includes the Spirit, Pride, Legend and Miracle. All are faster boats and though smaller, most of their rooms have an ocean view, while the majority offer balconies.

The Splendor Class

The Splendor is the only Carnival cruise line ship in the Splendor Class. It's the newest ship in the Carnival fleet and features flat-screen televisions in every stateroom, two-level spa and gym, 5500 square foot children's playground, a covered pool and itineraries running to Europe and South America.
