Blue Voyage Cruises is an elite, but still affordable cruise line that operates regular yacht sailing cruises through Turkey, Cappadocia, the Mediterranean, Aegean Sea and the Black Sea. For a full review of the line, their offerings and their overall value, keep reading.

Stops and Regular Itineraries aboard Blue Voyage Cruise Line

Most of Blue Voyage cruises run on 7 to 14 day itineraries, though the company does offer some shorter excursions along with numerous options to charter for a personalized itinerary.

Stops typically include Bodrum, Gocek, Fethiye, Antalya, Olympos, Kekova, Datca, Marmaris, Kas and more. The nice thing about this line is that they essentially offer different variations of the same cruise – that means they’re experts at their particular area.

The crew and staff know the route, know the history, know the area and know the waters. It makes for a great sailing experience with a crew and company that really know their stuff.

Prices on Blue Voyage

Surprisingly, Blue Voyage cruises are actually very affordable for what amounts to a personalized experience aboard an almost private ship.

For example, a double cabin for a week in May costs just 265 Euros per person and includes all meals. That same cabin is 450 Euros in August, but it’s still a reasonable price for the quality of the experience.

Amenities on Board Blue Voyage

The included amenities on board will vary from ship to ship. The Blue Voyage package cruise includes an en suite bathroom in each cabin and is limited to just 4 to 6 cabins total.

That said, the company boasts a fleet of over 25 boats, meaning your personal experience could vary wildly depending on the ship. If you’re concerned about this, ask your booking agent for photographs of your specific boat and an in-depth description of the included amenities.

The Experience

Unless you’re booking with a group of friends or family and plan to charter the entire boat, you will be sharing with 2 to 3 other couples. This can make for a very intimate experience, meaning you should hope that you get along with the other guests on board.

As someone who dislikes socializing with strangers in an enclosed space, this was somewhat unappealing. However, if you’re a social and open person, it can be a great chance to meet new people that share your interests in traveling and exploration.

Conclusion

Blue Voyage cruises are a great way for a large family or group of friends to really explore the coastlines of Turkey. It offers a personalized service at a price that’s hard to beat. For private couples and individuals though, you may find the experience too personal when it comes to interactions with your fellow shipmates.
